Or at least, I got no notifications that something was wrong. I get a warning saying that my virus definitions are not up to date, I click on the update button, but instead of updating as usual, it just keeps giving me the warning "Virus Definitions are not up to date" in red text.ġ) I have made sure that the Avast Premium Security software itself is up to date (Status is green, saying the software is up to date)Ģ) I did a repair on the software itself, and there didn't seem to be any indication that the software itself was problematic. Thank you for your understanding and please accept our apologies or any inconvenience caused.Quote from: Jamie2020 on June 02, 2023, 06:57:39 PM Hello, as the title says, today I noticed that my Avast Premium security would not allow me to update virus definitions. What we tested and worked today, could be broken tomorrow and it is not always fully our fault. Other reason is that the environment/context the product is running in and is dependent on is changing all the time. It is sad, but it happens no matter how hard we try to avoid such things to happen. Regarding your question how can such (and generally other) issues escape from our attention is that sometimes we fail to find them, evaluate their priority properly, fix them properly etc. The second two are not issues that would happen always although the description does not say so. Fix for them for 23.2 version (the one publicly available) was released on Tuesday, for 23.3 it went out yesterday as a part of the beta program update. The first two issues with Bank Mode are being internally discussed so that it will not happen again. Hello David, I agree with you it is far from the ideal state.
